A few months ago I was paging through the latest Vogue (something I don’t get to sit down and do nearly as often as I would like) and this spread titled “Love in the Afternoon” stopped me in my tracks. I fell in love with the story it tells and haven’t been able to put it out of my mind ever since. I am particularly floored by the styling and how the clothes so perfectly define the captivating woman we get to know in just a few pages.
While each and every look is equally breathtaking (don’t Lara Stone and Aaron Eckhart make a positively dreamy couple?), the use of Prada’s hot rod collection in the story straight up gives me goosebumps. To place such daringly modern, comic book pieces into this whimsical, vintage scene is something you don’t see everyday – at least not done this well. I love how it all flows together and makes it feel so right to wear cartoon flaming heels for a serious conversation with your man-on-the-side on this old dirt road. I want to live in this wardrobe, in this place/time, and be taken for rides in these cars.
Get the look: Sportmax dress, Halogen hat, Hagler St. Gielar necklace, Brahmin bag, Topshop cardigan, T3 hot rollers, Asos shoes, Prada sunglasses
