Most years I wait until after Thanksgiving to officially settle in to the holiday spirit, but this year I just can’t contain myself… especially since Rue Magazine launched their second issue today, and it’s filled with seasonal cheer! I am thrilled to have been a part of this issue in the super fun holiday party feature on The Girls With Glasses (see the spread on pages 138-165).

We got to spend a day at Elvis and Priscilla’s honeymoon house in Palm Springs with the dream team: Fiore Beauty, The Flashdance, Feather Love Photography, Shark Pig, and bash, please! And what better holiday style inspiration than Elvis Blue Christmas? I took a cue from the festive shades of silver, aqua and emerald in Bash, Please’s prop styling and dressed the girls in shades of blue velvet, metallic brocades, and accents of Elvis inspired statements like blue suede heels and jailhouse stripes. The Fiore girls really brought on the beauty with Priscilla-like beehives, Elvis pompadours, loads of eyeliner, and lashes galore!

Now that Halloween is over, it’s officially time to start getting excited for the holidays.
